The Kunz Squirrel tail palm plane is a precision tool ideal for producing chamfers and fine trimming.
Measuring just 85mm in length and 25mm width, the squirrel tail nests comfortably into the palm allowing great control of delicate cuts.
The body is manufactured from fine grey cast iron coated with their distinctive green epoxy resin.
The iron is produced from optimum quality tool steel and hardened to approximately 62 Rockwell HRC.
The plane iron is supplied sharpened but we would highly recommend you hone it prior to use, lapping the sole on 320g Wet and Dry abrasive paper on a flat surface i.e a piece of float glass will also take the plane to another level.
